  • Networking is just the beginning of building meaningful connections that can impact your career. This session will help you understand the benefits of turning connections into authentic relationships through an intentional practice. Those relationships can lead to mentoring, job opportunities, and partnerships – all of which get you closer to your personal and professional goals. We’ll also tackle what might be holding you back from leveraging the relationships you’ve created. No one can do it alone, and the right network is crucial for women to lead and succeed.

  • For leaders, admitting you need help may lead to feelings of inadequacy or imposter syndrome. Alternatively, asking for help may seem like a burden rather than a relief.  The more unnecessary tasks you have on your plate, the less time you have to work toward achieving your goals. Confidently delegating to your team impacts the trust and culture you’re creating while also ensuring more equitable distribution of tasks. This session addresses the fear and worry holding you back from delegating and introduces strategies to start delegating consistently and effectively.

  • Have you ever considered asking for more resources or a change in responsibilities, then quickly talked yourself out of it? What held you back? Effectively advocating and negotiating could have a lasting impact on achieving your goals and improving your organization's sustainability. And yet, fear of rejection, lack of a clear strategy, and undervaluing your own needs will have you backing down before you can even ask.

In this session, you’ll reflect on the barriers preventing you from making your ask, you’ll draft a compelling argument, and learn the basics of effective negotiation.

  • Delivering difficult news, sharing constructive feedback, or responding to a frustrated colleague or client can be a source of stress in your workday. Communicating confidently requires preparation and skill, both of which come with practice. In this workshop, we’ll confront the source of our uncomfortable feelings and introduce strategies on how to:

    • Better understand your audience

    • Center empathy and listening to enhance your efficacy

    • Deliver information clearly and concisely

  • Leading confidently requires you to discuss your gifts, talents, and accomplishments. You must be prepared to accept praise or highlight your work at a staff meeting, annual review, or job interview. So, why is that so hard? You know yourself better than anyone, right? This session sheds light on why self-promotion can be challenging and provides strategies to help you shift your mindset. You'll also identify past accomplishments and establish a practice to better manage and track your achievements. Self-understanding is the first step, but equally important is learning how to effectively communicate your strengths and accomplishments to various audiences.

  • Success in any leadership role requires a certain amount of strategic risk-taking.
Making bold moves can be terrifying when you’re too focused on what could go wrong. Additionally, women often struggle with rumination, making it difficult to move on from mistakes. This session will share strategies to help you get comfortable taking risks, learn how to celebrate success, and create a plan to overcome mistakes.
